(i) (x + 1)² = 2(x − 3):
x² + 2x + 1 = 2x − 6 ⇒ x² + 7 = 0.

(ii) x² − 2x = (−2)(3 − x):
x² − 2x = −6 + 2x ⇒ x² − 4x + 6 = 0.
